You've Read the Blog Posts, Now Listen to me Talk!

In the last few months I have been appearing as a guest on several podcasts. During these interviews I discus why and how you should start strength training as an older adult.

Each host has a slightly different approach in the questions that they ask. This means each episode takes a particular direction depending on the audience that the podcast is trying to reach.

I have added a selection of the episodes below for you to take a look at.  I’ll introduce to the podcast as well as what we covered in our conversation.

Then you can listen to the episode that best suits you (or feel free to listen to them all).

The Retirement Cafe

The Retirement Cafe podcast is hosted by Justin King who interviews experts all manner of retirement-related topics, from health and lifestyle, to planning your finances, your care and your wellbeing.

One Small Bite

One Small Bite, host by David Orozco, is all about helping people take one small bite at a time to transform their health and develop a positive relationship to food.

David and I cover areas including common mistakes people make with regards to their diet as they get older, especially with regards to protein intake.

Sports Therapy Association

The Sports Therapy Association Podcast, hosted by Matt Phillips, covers various topics relevant to sports therapists.

Matt and I discuss some of the myths about lifting weights as an older adult. These are beliefs held within some of the therapy world as well as within the wider community.

How to Life

How to Life, hosted by Dr Laura Jaget, covers all areas to help people survive and thrive in the adult world.

Laura and I discuss why you should consider lifting weights at any age rather than waiting until tasks become challenging as you get older.

An enjoyable, active retirement should be the main motivation to start strength training earlier in life.

Online Business Launch Pad

The Online Business Launchpad, hosted by Trudy Rankin, take a different angle to the other podcasts listed.

Trudy is someone who has worked through Never Too Old to Lift eBook

(click here to read Trudy’s story).

We discuss how I enjoy adapting strength training around injuries within my role as a physiotherapist and how Never Too Old to Lift allows me to help even more of you benefit from starting to get stronger.

Taekwondo Over 50

The Taekwondo Over 50 Youtube Channel, hosted by Master Sarah Chung, shares videos covering all aspects of Taekwondo as an older adult.

Sarah and I discuss how our interests overlap and how they help to compliment each other.
